About Play Project
Hello and Welcome. My name is Barbara Snyder and I am working collaboratively with Dr. Rick Solomon “The Play Project.org” to assist parents of young children with autism get early diagnosis and treatment. I am currently working on my dissertation for my PsyD. and beginning to see children for diagnosis and treatment under the age of 3 years old.
I have been trained by Dr. Solomon and he has certified me in “floortime.” I have also become certified in administering and assessing the ADOS test developed by Catherine Lord which has now been recognized as the “state of the art” test for accurate diagnosis of autism. I have also completed training in the DIR model developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan, MD who has devoted his life to working on children with autism.![]()

do you provide floortime consultation to children old than 2?? and how much do you charge??
I have an adopted son age 7 that was in foster care until 17 months. He was dignosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and tested positive for cocaine at birth. We did do a lot of early intervention, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy as well. He is under the 504 umbrella at school and is currently taking Ritalin approx 5 mg daily for ADHD. My concern is though that we still see our son playing along side other children and never really face to face interaction. He was a headbanger when we adopted him and sometimes he will revert to this activity when he is overstimulated regarding some matter. He will totally fixate on one activity for long periods of time while ignoring others. Can FAS and Autism overlap. Dominic also lacks the desire to read people’s faces or react to body language. Many other variables seem to indicate maybe a mild form of autism. He does well on grades in 2nd grade but needs some extra time to finish alot of work problems.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Cherie Kupcik
